Volunteers Needed Become a Volunteer Firefighter or Emergency Medical Responder.

The Bay City Fire Department is looking for a few good volunteers. No experience necessary. Training is provided through a combination of on-line, class room, and hands on training. We also coordinate training with other local and regional fire departments to allow for flexibility in our training program. We will also assist in the coordination of various pre hospital EMS training programs, including Emergency Medical Responder or Technician for members seeking Oregon EMS licensure. 

   The Bay City Fire Department currently has 20 Volunteers. Half of our volunteers have less than two years of experience. This presents an opportunity for new volunteers to help us re build the volunteer corps toward our goal of 30 members, while also being able to step into the training programs that we have developed for our new volunteers. 

  Applications are available at City Hall and the Bay City Fire Station. If you have any questions, please feel free to stop by our Tuesday evening drill. Drills are held weekly at 7:00 P.M., and visitors are always welcome.
