Fire Department Promotions, Certifications
The City of Bay City and Bay City Fire & Rescue are proud to announce several promotions and certifications that members of the department recently received.
In recognition of his leadership, Alan Christensen has been promoted to Fire Chief.
Following multiple tests, Evan Saindon has been promoted to Lieutenant and Training Officer, while also receiving certifications in Instructor 1 and Rope Rescue Operations.
Firefighters Dammes Hoogendijk, Mitch Leipzig, Cathy Logan, Jessica Motsinger, Hannah Rosenbohm, Haakon Smith, David Stacey and Greg Sweeney received their Firefighter 1 certifications.
Firefighter Holly Saindon received certifications for both Firefighter 1 and Rope Rescue Operations.
The firefighters received their certifications and other means of recognition at the City Council meeting on December 12, 2023.
